Let's Go Ice Skating!

Hey, come on out! The pond has frozen over and they have ice skates up for rent. It doesn't matter whether you know how or not, it'll still be fun! Falling down a little builds character. How about we teach each other? Oh, uh, I'm not sure if you should just be colliding into people like that. That's pretty mean, and also maybe likely to get us kicked out. Hey, wait, be careful! Brake, brake, look out look out look out--!

Ah! [Ib quickly ducks out of the way, but reaches an arm out to try and steady the stranger--!]

[The change in inertia causes him to swing and land on his butt. He wasn't quite expecting a little girl to have done that...]

Yeah, I'm fine. What about you? I didn't hit you, did I?

[She shakes her head and skates a little closer to offer him her hand to help him up.]

I'm okay, thanks. [She smiles.] Not used to ice skating?

Not in the slightest. My friend said it would be like roller skating, but boy was he wrong.

[braveredrose]

It's like it enough if you fall down a lot? I don't roller skate much, though...

[dreamisland]

Not at all. I'm a little good at roller skating.

[braveredrose]

Agree to disagree, then? [She beams.] It's not as tricky once you get used to the ice!

[dreamisland]

I'm afraid it won't be that easy. Ice isn't exactly my element. [is that a fucking joke]

Well, the important thing is to take it slow, at first!

[There's a pause, but then--] I can try to help, if you'd like!

[Any emotion on his face suddenly vanishes]

Oh, that's... fine. I'm sure I can figure it out on my own.

... Oh. [S-such a quick turnaround... She looks a little disappointed, but seems to shrug it off quickly.

... She might hang around anyway, though, if only to make sure he doesn't go careening into someone else.]

[please help him he's gone into moving statue mode]

Ib lets out a soft sigh before she skates back over to him, linking one arm with his.] Relax a little, okay?

[She just gently beams up at him in response.]

I want to! You'll probably want to try small steps to start with.

You shouldn't trust strangers so easily you know.

Winter is nice, but I like spring when all the flowers are in bloom.

Oh... Those are really nice! I like roses best, but I also really like sunflowers, poppies, and forget-me-nots too.
